BCA Business Check your route
Devices and medicines · six markets

Your mark travels worse than you think

We take UK health technology and pharmaceutical companies into Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Egypt, Türkiye, Nigeria and South Africa. Every figure on this site is traced to the regulator that published it, with the document name, its version and the date we checked.

RECOGNITION, ACROSS THE SAME SIX MARKETS Your device UKCA named in the document list 1 of 6 Egypt, and nowhere else Your medicine MHRA named in the reliance list 4 of 6 by name One company, two products, the same six countries and the answer is different in every one of them.
Counted by reading each regulator's own document list, not by asking anyone. The working is on the market pages.

The problem

Nobody will tell you a market is shut

The regulatory advice you are offered is written to sell you a project. So it describes the route, the fee and the timeline — and it leaves out the finding that would have stopped you spending anything at all.

Zero

Times UKCA appears

In either Turkish device regulation. We searched the consolidated texts. It was not overlooked — a 2020 announcement cut the validity of EC certificates from four named UK notified bodies and granted no extension.

Refused

Before you apply

Nigeria publishes 36 active substances that may be registered only as locally manufactured, and 29 more on a migration list. NAFDAC states it will not entertain a new application, or a renewal, for an imported product on either.

Fixed

The day you declare it

A South African single exit price is unregulated when you set it and immovable afterwards. The only lawful increase is the Minister's annual percentage, 1.47% for 2026, on a method the Department declines to publish.

Each of these is set out in full, with the instrument behind it, on the market page it comes from.

How this site is written

Traced, dated, and honest about the gaps

What we publish

  • The regulator's own document, by name, number and version
  • The date we last read it, on the page
  • Fees in the currency the regulator charges them in
  • Review periods exactly as published — including where two of the regulator's own documents disagree
  • A sources section on every page, with what we could not confirm

What we leave blank

  • Fees no authority has published — we show the empty cell rather than a number from a consultancy blog
  • Timelines from guidance that has since been withdrawn
  • The difference between "confirmed absent" and "we could not find it", which we never collapse
  • Anything a secondary source asserts and the regulator does not

Why this costs us work and we do it anyway. An empty cell is harder to publish than a plausible number, and it is the reason clients arrive here already half-convinced. If a figure on this site is wrong, it is wrong in a way you can check against the document we named.

Something has gone wrong

A stalled submission, a registration in your distributor's name, a renewal nobody watched. We find out where it actually stands before quoting, and sometimes the honest answer is to start again.

Two weeks from now you could know

What applies, what it costs, what is missing from your file and whether the market is worth entering this year. In writing, with sources, for a fixed fee.
